Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of [that] the heathen [do learn], and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. (JER10:2)

Sickness is, not health; and agedness is, not Science! (SCIENCE AND HEALTH, by Mary Baker (Glover) Eddy, is our textbook of Christian Science). Mrs. Eddy teaches us that we (her pupils and her students) must unsee the belief/claim of sickness and disease, to cure it, and so prove its nothingness: that this is difficult or the task arduous depends only on the tenacity of (the) belief. (MBE) She instructs us to heal both sickness and sin by the same loving divine Principle or God of goodness and harmony; but, she draws our attention (to the need) to detect the claim of sin, upon us, and upon our (case) patient's thought, lest we (would) be handled by that claim (or let that claim do our work for us) and so "miss the mark" (the very definition of sin) and upon subsequent examination lose the point of perfection - we must examine, ourselves early (be teacher's self-helpers), and not always wait or depend on teacher to grade us: that is, we must see the perfection before the point.

Now, a centagenarian running about her affairs, singing, dancing, teaching college science, ... is not what is meant by, agedness; neither is reclining on a pillow and reading a book, what we mean by sickness! And the world's opposite belief of healing through material means, must be found-out and reversed, for, it looks everywhere for that imaged ghost causing sickness, while it yet avoids, skulks, dodges, even covers-up the supposed material effects of agedness: believing in the incurability of that cause and effect, thence calling at least its cause, if not its effect, desirable: in subterfuge! But we must with our Scientific method, bring the expectations of humanity back to right desires. We must not only heal by unseeing sickness (and in silent argument we detect that the effects of sickness are only the unseen action of mortal mind believing that claim which mortal mind supposedly sees); but we must also detect and (conscientiously) know the capacities available to the human thought which ignorance (of these capacities) calls, agedness and its cause, and (so) scientifically produce longevity (and in arguing aloud we detect that these capacities are the effect of action, of ever present infallible divine Mind, not truly seen by the so-called mortal-mind).

In anecdote, a local church here lends its parking lot during the week to the employees of a neighboring hospital and an elderly housing residence; then on Sundays, recovers it to its Church purposes. That neither lesser effort partakes of our method of Science and Health, should remind us that we do not care for others (in/by) leaving them to (their) sickness and (to their) agedness. Health is a mandate in Christian Science; and so also is scientific longevity: we must handle the claims of error, though our methods be distinct and distinguished from all others (material). Only if we could not get enough Science should we ever feel, in effect, growing cold or old; and that's not allowed in (our) School!

... The teachings herein are not secularized nor classified: Sunday School pupils, Primary Class students, Normal Class graduates, scholars, researchers, astronomers, scientists, and governments, will find this coursework timely, modern, global, historical, and democratic. The syllabus is the ALMS Program: astronomics, linguistics, mathematics, systematics ... scientific inferentiation on the Holy Biblical Scripture: 'what actually happened'.
